For those who are new to this dance form, it is a journey of connecting with your own body; feeling, responding to you and your body in space, and then gently coming into relationship with another and exploring this very precious and only moment together.
Over time you will develop a 'CI' language which will enable you to safely and enjoyably traverse this beautiful movement form with another.
It is a terrific amount of fun and brings such joy and fulfillment!
Feel free to spread the word and together we will create a community of folk who love to move and be moved.
“I loved it. Lisa effortlessly guided us, so that I felt relaxed and confident moving my body in new ways, to and gently past my previous limits. I could do this safely in my own way, but get inspired by and choose to connect with others around me too”. - R.
“Lisa's contact dance class is a safe place to explore movement, connection and interaction with other humans. After the class I had the sense that my body was integrating a heap of new information about possibilities of weight and pressure and movement - new sensory information. I think I felt happier about ‘being in’ my body”. - T.A.
Contact Improv was a moving experience, literally and figuratively! I felt my energy shift as my body moved in relation to others, and the material environment. I felt moved emotionally by the intimacy. For me, I would describe the experience as playful, joyful, respectful, and intriguing. I will definitely be back for more exploration!” - Heidi
"Learning to relax and go with the flow was required of me. It does need some practise for me. I will go again. Glad I went.” - Lindsey
